Meandering south through Texas, the Trinity River flows over 700 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. In 1849, her protective bluffs in newly-organized Tarrant County were the perfect spot for a small Army outpost, while after the Civil War young cowboys heading up the Chisholm Trail guided their cattle across her muddy banks on their way to feed a hungry nation.
Today, our river reflects the modern skyline of Fort Worth in her waters and our neighbors enjoy a vibrant, outdoor lifestyle along her trails. The Trinity River is part of what makes our town so special.
