You don’t need to drive any further than a few miles west of Houston to get your hands on authentic Hill Country barbecue. Our Katy location has all the charm and atmosphere you’d expect from Cooper’s, and it’s right out your back door.
Started in 1962 by Tommy Cooper in Llano, Texas, Cooper’s Old Time Pit BBQ quickly earned its reputation for great food and became a landmark Texas BBQ haven for hunters & Hill Country visitors. It is the original “served off the pit” style barbecue in the state of Texas.
All of our food is prepared from scratch & cooked fresh daily. We cowboy cook our meat over live mesquite coals, the same way every day since 1962. Our Katy location has Cooper’s traditional picnic style seating in our main dining area as well as a full bar, outdoor patio seating & large lawn area perfect for bringing family, friends & great Texas Bar-B-Que together.
