Checkered Past Winery – Wine Pub & Wine Tasting

Checkered Past Winery is an urban wine pub featuring our own quality wines, over 20 locally-brewed craft beers,  and some of the best wines from Texas and around the world.  The menu consists of specialty bites with an Italian accent, that pair perfectly with wine or beer.  We are located in the basement of the historic South Side on Lamar building, a 100-year-old Sears and Roebuck distribution center.

Co-founder, owner, and winemaker Sandro DiSanto is a first generation American and 100% Sicilian, carrying on his grandfathers’ winemaking tradition. What started as a hobby turned into an obsession, which connected Sandro and his brother-in-law, Scott Relyea, who co-founded and designed Checkered Past Winery. Carolynne Chancellor, grape grower/vineyard owner joined the two as co-owner to bring to you THE Urban Winery of Dallas.  The owners of Checkered Past Winery believe in drinking local and supporting Texas family farmers, as well as their fellow Texas winemakers and brewers.

Checkered Past Winery has a casual, unpretentious atmosphere, a laid back attitude, and was founded on the principle of making wine approachable for everyone.  No wine snobs allowed!  In fact, the motto is, “Drink what you like”.
